So good! I listened to it twice. The mental shift of looking at one of your businesses as the investor for another new business that you’re getting up and running is something I’ve been trying to practice. Hearing that both you and Codie view it that way was reassuring. I also enjoyed learning about content strategies, focusing effort, and hearing about scaling. Hearing what to do after you make your first 10k, 100k, 250k… the next part I think is harder than the starting part! Thanks for another amazing episode.
What?!
Codie claims to have nearly 100k subscribers. However, data from Substack shows it’s actually only around 20k.
So what’s going on? With very little traffic to her website (under 2k/month) no rankings on Substack, and an easily debunked claim, I’m really baffled as to why she’s massively overstating the size of her newsletter?
I run some newsletters with well over 100k subscribers so I was curious to hear how others are doing it too. I don’t want to say that anyone is being fraudulent, but this needs some clarification.
