7 Businesses I Can't Believe No One Has Started (Yet!)

7 Businesses I Can't Believe No One Has Started (Yet!)

Today, I’m sharing seven businesses that I think would be good ideas for someone to start.

Will you be the one who starts them?

  1. A weekly newsletter of the coolest ecommerce products. I LOVE finding cool new products. And I’m sure there are lots of cool products out there I don’t even know about. I want some way to find these products.
  2. Productized home improvement / landscaping. Something like Fiverr for home improvement services. I’m trying to do landscaping for my house… and the quotes have ranged from $10,000 to $80,000. Crazy. Want a more transparent way.
  3. Transferring domains out of GoDaddy. GoDaddy is one of the more expensive places to renew domains. It’s alright if you have a single domain, but imagine having multiple domains and it adds up. A way to easily transfer domains from GoDaddy would be great.
  4. A portable leg cooler for bikers. I’ve been biking a lot this year with my friend Anton. After cycling, I get really bad cramps. Once a week, I go to a cold tub, sauna, and hot tub to soothe the pain and it works… but I want something I can use at my house.
  5. Securing podcast guests or people to appear on other podcasts. I want an easier way to get awesome guests on my podcasts. Most the times I’m pitched it’s lame people who just want to be on a big show. Needs to be mutually beneficial.
  6. Windblockers for AirPods. With AirPods, they’re great but when I’m biking or walking, I keep hearing the wind sounds. I want windblockers to block that sound out. There’s gotta be something an entrepreneur could make overseas inexpensively.
  7. Go and sell stuff for your friends. There’s so many people with so much extra stuff. Help them sell their stuff, take a 50% cut. This is the simplest thing you can do to get going, especially if you don’t have a business idea yet.

Enjoy those 7 things… plus a bunch more business-sy magic along the way.

Hi Noah,

2. Productized home improvement / landscaping
These guys are kind of on it:
https://www.houzz.com/
It's a platform that connects home owners with home improvement professionals (designers, architects, builders etc...)

Hope it helps.

Have a good day!

1 - I would subscribe
2 - would totally use that
3 - Is GoDaddy that much more expensive?
4 - just saw a muscle scraper ad on Instagram 10mins ago which said it helps with cramping. Insta ads are always right, right? I usually attribute my calf cramps after long hikes to dehydration. The are those electric cold water sleeves that athletes use.
5 - Hopefully we're not one of the lame pitches.
6 - aerodynamic helmet
7 - I need someone to do this for me.

Noah,

Google domains reads and transfers all your domain settings, so there's no further setup.

It is SO easy!

"Productized home improvement / landscaping" - man, this hits a nerve. My wife and I got 8 quotes on a stone wall and they ranged from $40k up to over $100k - with the same design/specs each time.

BUT... I'm not commenting to share. I'm commenting to ask... Noah, what's the actual pain point for you on this one? The fact that prices are all over the place, or the lack of transparency (materials costs, labor costs, markup), or some other pain?

I've started using Cloudflare for domain renewals because they don't mark up the price.

The only downer is you have to first register the domain somewhere else and then transfer it to Cloudflare.
