The more you give, the more you get

First of all, big props to Noah for opening up his blog home to all of us. It’s not often folks open up their homes as wide as Noah, but you know, if someone was going to do it, then Noah would be the one. Thanks!

Which leads me to my point…The more you give, the more you get. Noah has given us the keys to his “home,” to use as we will. Still his house though, so we need to keep our feet off the furniture, water the plants, you get the idea. But what will Noah gain from this, and what will you gain from this experience with one OKDork.com website.

Noah gives away his blog for us to share some:

• New voices - Sometimes, you can just get sick of hearing your own voice. Seems that’s the case with Noah, so now he can read what his readers have to say, without ever leaving the comfort of his own blog.
• New ideas - (Wo)man can not live inside her/his own head forever, so getting some fresh ideas is a necessary part of life.
• New eyes - Sometimes you have to take a step back to see what’s there. While I don’t imagine Noah is going away, he’ll be looking at his blog in a new way as readers are now writers.

You get (and you give to Noah and the readers of OKDork.com):

• Exposure - If you’ve got great stuff to say, why not say it here, where there are many readers willing to comment on whatever you have to say.
• New readers - If you do a great job here, you’ll get some new folks that come here what you have say.
• Satisfaction for a job well done - Noah is one mean burrito lover, and I know if you do a great job, he’ll say thanks. I’ll bet his readers (our readers now???) say thanks too.
