eduFire seeks a rock star Director of Revenue
eduFire is looking for Employee #4. The position we’re hiring for is “Director of Revenue”. This is most similar to a traditional Director of Marketing position. We’re looking for someone in the Los Angeles area or someone willing to relocate. Here’s what we’re looking for…
Someone with deep experience in and world class talent and passion for:
-Driving targeted traffic through SEO, SEM (especially AdWords and Yahoo Search Marketing optimization), referral/affiliate programs and other forms of lead generation
-Analyzing metrics (using Google Analytics or other tools) including traffic and conversion statistics, growth trends, customer churn and lifetime value, etc.
-Creating landing pages that generate high conversion rates and writing killer copy
-Building credibility with potential customers through testimonials, multimedia, display of press mentions, etc.
-Establishing email marketing programs to drive new revenue and increase customer retention and frequency of purchase
-Brainstorming creative ways for us to rapidly increase revenue (we have a BHAG we’ll share with you that’ll be a critical part of your role @ eduFire)
The ideal candidate will be someone who devours books like Call To Action and Don’t Make Me Think and blogs like GrokDotCom (and likely a whole host of other great stuff that I don’t even know about). It’s someone who is willing to work hard but is much more interested in results and emphasizes quality of work over quantity of work.
This position is a full-time position (contract-to-hire) with a generous stock option package and a lot of flexibility. Location is West LA (convenient to the 10 and the 405) with the opportunity to work from home part of the time.

eduFire is a big opportunity and this will be a perfect fit for someone who wants to get on the ground floor of a start-up company that has a chance to make it big financially and change the world for the better in the process. We’re excited to share the big picture vision with you.
If this opportunity lights a fire (no pun intended) beneath you please send an email to jon@edufire.com with your resume, pointers to great stuff you’ve done (other websites you’ve worked on, blogs you’ve contributed to, etc.) and two sentences about what this might be the ideal job for you.
