My 2015 Year End Review: Personal and Work Accomplishments

A few weeks ago I randomly emailed my buddy Adam a rating of my year. It was surprisingly insightful. It also helped me guide what I want to do better in 2016. Here’s what I wrote him:

Business: 7 out of 10.

Don’t feel I really pushed myself as hard I as I could. Know that feeling after you struggle or ran really hard in PE class? That feeling of exhaustion. Maybe it’s not sustainable but wanted to feel a bit more of that adrenaline this year. After you push yourself you can’t believe:

    a) how far you went

    b) how much you’ve actually accomplished

Promising things were: our business metrics and results have been very positive. My growth this year came through organizing the company for longer-term growth, being okay letting go of certain tasks, and learning how to recruit / support an all-star team. (We are hiring!)

Health: 9 out of 10.

Really proud on this. Did exactly what I set out to do with 6-month cycles. Bulk and shred. From October-March I got up to 200 pounds and then from March – October shredded back down to a 6 pack. Proud of my dedication, planning, and overall commitment.

Relationship: 7 out of 10.

Wasn’t perfect. Learned a lot about myself with wanting new things but also appreciating more of what I have.

Definitely highs and lows this year with my gf. Lately, been very happy with the “best boyfriend ever” mindset. Imagining and acting how that would person act. Doing that and it’s been rewarding. Pertains to my quote for this email.
