They have really crappy ideas, but for some reason they think their ideas are clever and that they are the sh*t. When I was an account manager for a web design company I saw so many people come to us with what they thought to be the worlds best idea that they believed would work better than anything else out there and yes they had the *will* but they couldn't see the wood for the trees so to speak, their ideas would be so floored on so many levels... but would not listen when they were told... "It will work, I know it will, it doesn't need changing, you don't know what you're talking about" is what most of them would say... How many times have we seen those with the *will* but no *skillz* build sites that within minutes we can see will fail... Actually just yesterday I was told about a new *social network* that was built here in New Zealand that was going to be the next big thing... iyoma.com - yep stupid name, it's aimed at *grown-ups* that aren't attracted by the likes of Facebook and MySpace and that are *time-poor and not so computer-literate* but are expected to (in my opinion) navigate a poorly designed site, deal with large flash objects etc... Anyway sorry I digress my point is even with the *will* you still need the *skillz*, and if you outsource those *skillz* at least make sure the people you outsource to have the right *skillz* AND the *will* for your project and they are not just drones building exactly what YOU want...
