Doesn't matter if it's an honest living or a dishonest living. If your name doesn't sound white- If you have a foreign accent- Your posts will be unfairly tagged and removed. If you have an attitude toward craigslist themselves, they will put you on "shitlist" (their exact words) and you will be on a virtual time out from posting, anyway. And if your presence is hindering the white americans from maintaining a consistent income or steady flow of work, you will feel the sting. Don't get me wrong, I'm not warning you, I'm telling you from my own personal experience. Email hijacking, telephone and emails for the specific reason to harass, pick apart, and eventually shut you down all together. Impersonating customers, misleading and extinguishing free service offers just for the sake of it. These folks are great when the economy is doing good but when the going gets tough, they will tear you a new @55hole. Straight up. That's just my personal opinion. The real advantage is that you can deal with people locally and therefore reduce the risks of fraud. It's not in his economic interest to do so. The more active Craig's marketplace appears to be the more Craig will reap when he cashes out - as he eventually will. Your eBay analogy is apt - eBay will eventually take control of Craigslist.
