Do you wear boxers more than 1 time before you wash them? How often are you doing laundry? Do you do separate batches of colors and whites when doing laundry? Well, I was thinking about all these problems and have some simple solutions that will save you money by doing less loads and spending more time doing things you really want to do.

1- Throw all your clothes in one wash. Yes this is simple but some people have to be reminded. I have ALWAYS put my whites and colors together and have NEVER mixed each other. This will save on the # of loads you have to do instead of separating out the each load by primary colors.
2- Use Cold Cater. Maybe not an easy thing to note but using hot water takes heat which is more expensive and comes from your water heater. Cold works on whites and colors and gets the job done.
3- Inventory your Clothing. A cool idea I heard that Google engineers were doing is how to reduce laundry bottlenecks. Basically one aspect of your wardrobe is slowing down the rest. For example, if you have to do loads more often cause you have only 3 pairs of socks and everything else you have 15 pairs of then those are your bottleneck. So what can you do? Inventory your clothing to count for # of boxers, socks, shirts, pants and things you wear on a daily basis. See which is the lowest count and then buy more of those. It will save you time from doing unnecessary loads and time.
Silly Ideas
4- Reuse your clothes. This is up to personal preference but seriously do you need to change your boxers everyday?
5- Go out in rain. Bring soap with you and wash your clothes while its raining. Can also through in a shower at the same time.
6- Hang on string. Dry your clothes on a string to save money instead of using the dry. It was said every time you use the dryer it costs $.75 in electricity so it is not cheap. I would recommend only doing this in warm times of the year:)
