Friendster Classifieds: the beginning of death
Friendster Classifieds – United States
Friendster is really on their last straw. Yes they have tons of users and yes funded by some of the biggest names in the business. But they are what connectu.com is to thefacebook.com, tons of random features but no usage.
I am not sure if they noticed this but EVERYONE and everyone’s mother uses craigslist for posting classifieds in major cities.
I saw a few postings on friendster that were interesting, such as this job for a personal ball washer and this way to make $40,000 over night.
Yes their blog claims to have over 100,000 postings but with stuff like from above who really cares if they have 10 billion.
When the site launched it was unique and now it is just a me 2 that is behind in the game with no unique services. Either go ahead out front with some risks or just quit.
If I were your team I would figure ways we could use our network for good. Meaning, find services you can offer your members ( see what demographics is the majority on your site) and make them happy.

Friendster turned to sh*t incredibly fast. I’m sure you heard about how they won a patent on “social-networking”? I wonder if that’s gonna do them any good or just make a mockery of their business. Not like they haven’t already done that to themselves.
