So I bought a pair of glasses from www.OpticsPlanet.com and they said they are on backorder with an ETA of never. This is disappointing, as some sites like bustedtees.com tshirts
show the amount of shirts left in inventory. Anyways, I emailed them
and said cancel my order and proceeded to buy from another online
store. A month later I received two pairs of glasses. One from new
store and one from the shamster. Then I had to waste time doing a
chargeback on my credit card and shipping back. Bottomline: This is
proof that bad service makes 1 person tell 10 friends and they tell
friends and so forth. Please make sure you have inventory when you say
you will.
So I am working on collegeup.org: free college classifieds that don’t suck, and want to partner with local Berkeley businesses so they can post their items on the site for free. I saw that the Used Computer Store posted tons of things on craigslist so
a bulb light flashed, hey ask them to post on your site. So I called
and started talking to a guy named Matt who was EXTREMELY rude and said
they had no interest in posting on our site. I asked why and they said
they might do it in time. Bottomline: Why would a company for no work
(we would post their ads with permission) not want free advertising and
exposure to their target market?
